Kussmaul Safety Locks

Kussmaul's Safety Lock models are core anti-theft ignition bypass units hard-wired into the fleet vehicle. Fleet technicians and upfitters must wire them manually using the basic screw-terminals or pigtail slots provided on the modules.

• 091-148-12 Safety Lock Standard 12V
  12V DC Input. One 30A Contact Relay. This requires a custom 4-wire splice job into the vehicle's ignition network. You supply standard automotive wire to route the chassis ground, a constant +12V battery source, the vehicle's run/ignition line, and a +12V brake light switch trigge42r to handle the auto-kill function.
• 091-148-24 Safety Lock Standard 24V
  24V. Contains 1 heavy-duty 30-amp relay. It is ideal for basic industrial or international fleet systems where you only need to bypass the primary ignition wire to maintain engine power.
• 091-155-12 Safety Lock 3 12V
  A 3-relay configuration designed for vehicles that require 3 independent circuits to keep the engine running when the key is pulled. Built with 3 independent 30A relays. Wiring requires routing the primary ignition bypass plus two auxiliary accessory circuits (like climate control or critical onboard gear). 
• 091-155-24 Safety Lock 3 24V
  24V DC Input. Houses 3 independent, normally open 30-amp contact relays. This is required for complex vehicles that need to maintain power to the main ignition circuit plus two auxiliary accessory circuits (such as HVAC systems, heavy warning lights, or onboard computers) while the key is out. It is ideal for basic industrial or international fleet systems where you only need to bypass the primary ignition wire to maintain engine power.
• 091-160 Safety Lock 4
  Built with 4 independent 30A relays. This handles the ignition bypass plus three distinct auxiliary circuits (like heavy-duty emergency lighting, radios, and secondary computers). • 091-174 Safety Lock D
  Built-in Vehicle Adapter for Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler. A standalone unit featuring built-in bypass resistors directly engineered to safely bypass the anti-theft and Body Control Modules (BCM) found in Chrysler family vehicles.
